How to connect to a Boomi API Gateway
API Gateways created in the Boomi platform that are online will automatically show up as environments in API Control Plane.
In API Control Plane, these agentless Gateways have (managed) appended to their environment name.
You can have multiple Gateways in the Boomi Platform with the same name, but this is not allowed in the API Control Plane. Due to this, use unique Gateway names so that they are available in the API Control Plane.
Changing Existing Boomi API Gateways to Managed
If you have existing Gateways in API Control Plane that were created with the Boomi agent, you can change them to managed gateways by doing the following:
- In Boomi Platform, open the Gateway's Location Settings.
- In Location Settings, do one of the following:
-
If the Public URL and Bind Address are populated, make a change to the Public URL.
-
If only the Bind Address is populated, make a change to it.
noteIf the Bind Address is changed, a minimal disruption to the Gateway's availability will occur.
- Click Save.
- Revert the change you made in step 2.
- Click Save. This change triggers an event that changes the Gateway to managed in API Control Plane.
To manage Boomi API Gateways across multiple Boomi accounts using a single API Control Plane tenant, see Connect to a Boomi API Gateway with an Agent.
